We started our journey to the Horton Plains from Kandy. These are some road side sceneries on the way to Nuwaraeliya, Including the waterfall near Ramboda.

Nepenthes distillatoria is a tropical pitcher plant endemic to Sri Lanka. It is only Nepenthes sp found in Srilanka. It can be found in Sinharaja, Kanneliya, Nawalapitiya etc.
Hydnora africana is an achlorophyllous plant native to southern Africa that is parasitic on the roots of members of the Euphorbiaceae family
